Emergency teams have launched a major hunt at Draycote Water, near Rugby, after a man reportedly plunged into the reservoir from a boat on the afternoon of Thursday, 29 May 2025.

Warwickshire Police confirmed the dramatic incident happened earlier today when the man fell overboard while boating. Fire crews, police, and emergency responders are combing the water in a desperate search to find him.
The missing man’s family are receiving specialist support from trained officers as the operation presses on.
Police Warn Public: Stay Clear of Draycote Water
Warwickshire Police have urged locals and visitors to keep away from the area, warning that getting too close could interfere with life-saving efforts.
“We would ask that the public do not attempt to go near the area at this time as doing so could distract searchers,” the force said in an official statement.
