M3 Shutdown in Hampshire: Police Incident Closes Key Basingstoke Stretch

The M3 in Hampshire is shut in both directions between Junction 7 (Drummer Interchange) and Junction 6 (Black Dam Interchange) near Basingstoke. A police-led incident is causing the full road closure.

Hampshire Police are managing the situation, while National Highways Traffic Officers assist with traffic control on the ground.

  • Take the first exit onto the A30 and continue past Basingstoke towards Junction 7
  • At Junction 7 roundabout, take the third exit to jump back onto the M3 westbound

  • Exit M3 at Junction 7
  • Take the first exit onto the A30 towards Basingstoke
  • Stay on the A30 through Basingstoke to the Black Dam Interchange
  • Take the third exit onto the M3 Spur Road to reach Junction 6
