Police launch urgent appeal for witnesses after a shocking crash on the A23 Horley Road yesterday morning left an elderly woman critically injured.
Three Cars and a Lorry Involved in Serious Morning Smash
At around 8:30am on Saturday, 9 August, emergency crews raced to the junction with Earlswood Road following a crash involving three cars and a lorry. Chaos on the road saw a passenger, a woman in her 80s, airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Six other people were also rushed to hospital for treatment.
Man Arrested Over Dangerous Driving
A 25-year-old man from East Grinstead was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous and careless driving. He remains in police custody as investigations continue.
