Blazing Inferno Hits Selhurst Road Home
Emergency services scrambled to a house fire on Selhurst Road, South Norwood, this afternoon. Fire crews remain at the scene as investigations get underway.
Fire Brigade Rushes to Scene
The London Fire Brigade was alerted at 3:27pm and responded fast with three fire engines and about 15 firefighters from Woodside, Croydon, and Norbury stations.
They found part of the front room of a semi-detached house badly damaged by flames.
Ambulance Crews Also on Scene
“We were called at 3.30pm today (17 March) to reports of a fire on Selhurst Road, South Norwood. We still have crews on scene so the information we have is still limited. We have sent resources to the scene. The incident is currently ongoing and we are working with our emergency services partners.” – London Ambulance Service spokesperson
Firefighters Keep Fighting; No Injuries Reported
Crews are working hard to douse the blaze fully and prevent flare-ups. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported so far, though official confirmation is pending.
