Emergency airlift scramble after person reported over Capel-le-Ferne cliff

Emergency services were scrambled to Capel-le-Ferne, between Folkestone and Dover, on Monday afternoon after a person reportedly went over the iconic White Cliffs. Known for breathtaking views and treacherous drops, the cliffs quickly became the focus of a major rescue effort.

Helicopter and Fire Crews Launch Huge Rescue

The Coastguard helicopter, Coastguard teams, and an air ambulance rushed to the scene. Kent Fire and Rescue also joined in with three fire engines. Together, they combed the area alongside medics, racing against time to locate and assist the individual.

Eyewitnesses spotted the helicopter hovering above the cliffs as everyone worked frantically.

Police Await Further Details

Kent Police confirmed they were called shortly before midday about a medical incident near The Warren, Folkestone. A spokesman said officers supported partner agencies in the response but a formal statement is still awaited. It remains unclear if the person has been found or the state of their condition.
