EOD called to deal with dredge up ordnance

A Portsmouth based Royal Navy Bomb Disposal team have been deployed to the Isle of Wight this evening (Thursday). Explosive Ordnance Disposal professionals have been called to Arctic Road in Cowes to make safe ordnance that has been dredged up by a vessel. The EOD were called just after 6pm on Thursday after Hampshire Constabulary were alerted of the find by workers. More to follow
