Royal Navy Bomb Squad Rushes to Isle of Wight After Deadly Find

A Royal Navy Bomb Disposal team from Portsmouth was scrambled to the Isle of Wight on Thursday evening. Experts were called to Arctic Road in Cowes to deal with dangerous unexploded ordnance dredged up by a local vessel.

The EOD unit arrived shortly after 6pm following a tip-off from workers who discovered the hazardous device. Hampshire Constabulary quickly alerted the bomb squad to make the area safe.
