Fire crews from Fareham rushed to the scene on the westbound M27 at Hamble Bridge just after 7am. They had to use hydraulic cutting tools to free the family from their damaged vehicle.

The collision happened between junctions 8 and 9 on the M27 westbound. Authorities believe slippery black ice on the road was likely to blame for the crash.
