Firefighters from Shanklin and Ryde rushed to a blazing garage block in Sandown this afternoon after a faulty off-road Jeep charger went up in flames.
Faulty Charger Ignites Fire
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service was called just after 1.10pm on Tuesday to Fort Mews, where the faulty charger sparked the blaze.
Crews Battle Flames with Cobra and Breathing Gear
Firefighters initially tackled the fire using a Cobra jet before sending in two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus to get the blaze under control.
