Ten Fire Engines Battle Huge Warehouse Blaze in Erith
London Fire Brigade (LFB) rushed to a massive warehouse fire on Fraser Road, Erith, late Tuesday night. A large-scale blaze erupted at the Europa Trading Estate, sparking thick smoke and chaos.
Emergency Services Flood the Scene
At least ten fire engines, an aerial ladder platform, and a specialist drone team were deployed to tackle the inferno and assess damage from above. Fire crews from Bexley, Erith, Plumstead, and neighbouring stations joined the fight, with support from Kent Fire and Rescue.
Road Closures and Traffic Havoc
The Metropolitan Police shut down Fraser Road in both directions, causing major traffic jams. Bus routes, including the 99 and 180, have been diverted, leaving commuters frustrated. The London Fire Brigade urged everyone to avoid the area due to lingering smoke and emergency operations posing safety risks.
No Injuries—But Investigation Underway
Thankfully, no injuries have been reported so far. Fire investigators remain on site to determine the cause of the blaze. Updates will follow as authorities assess the damage and check for structural risks.
A London Fire Brigade spokesman said: “Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters are responding to a fire at an industrial estate on Fraser Road, Erith. Part of a two-storey warehouse is currently alight.”
Residents and local businesses are urged to follow official updates and stay clear of the area while firefighters battle the blaze.
