Firefighters Battle Blaze in Portsmouth Home

Fire crews from Cosham, Southsea, Havant, and Portchester rushed to tackle a fire that erupted in an electricity fuse box before spreading to the ground floor of a house in North End, Portsmouth.

Blaze Breaks Out Just Before 6pm

The fire broke out just before 6pm on Sunday, 22nd April 2018. It is still unclear if anyone was injured in the blaze.

Hampshire Fire Service Battles Tough Fire

“We were called at 5.37pm to a property in North End Avenue where a fuse box fire had started,” said a Hampshire Fire Service spokesperson. “It took eight breathing apparatus, two jets, and two hose reels to extinguish the fire, which has now been out for some time. However, crews are still on the scene dealing with the aftermath.”

Emergency teams remain at the scene as investigations continue. More updates to follow.
