Firefighters Battle Blaze on Carisbrooke Road, Gosport
Fire crews from Fareham and Gosport rushed to tackle a blaze on Carisbrooke Road this afternoon. Two fire engines were sent in, with firefighters using breathing apparatus and a hosereel to fight the flames.
Firefighters Act Fast
The alarm was raised just after 4:15pm when smoke was spotted billowing from a property. Around 20 firefighters are currently on the scene battling the fire.
Road Partially Blocked
Carisbrooke Road has been partially blocked due to the ongoing incident, causing disruption in the area.
Cause and Casualties Unknown
The cause of the fire remains a mystery, and it is not yet known if anyone has been injured.
A Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “We received multiple calls reporting smoke issuing from a property on Carisbrooke Road. Our crews are working hard to bring the fire under control.”
