Firefighters Rush to Smouldering Balfour Road Blaze
Firefighters were scrambled after locals in Northend, Portsmouth, reported a strong smell of burning plastic filling the air on Thursday evening.
Cosham and Southsea Crews Spring Into Action
Just after 9.30pm, crews from Cosham and Southsea fire stations were called to a property on Balfour Road. Residents had alerted emergency services after spotting smoke and hearing a smoke alarm blaring from inside the house.
Unattended Pan Sparks Kitchen Fire
Firefighters conducted a thorough search and quickly tackled an unattended pan that had caught fire in the kitchen. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
While the kitchen suffered some damage, the prompt action prevented the blaze from spreading further across the home.
