Fire Breaks Out at Maidstone Commercial Premises

Kent Fire and Rescue Service rushed to a blaze at a commercial property on King Street, Maidstone, late Wednesday night.

Emergency Crews Battle Kitchen Blaze

The fire sparked around 10:03pm on February 14, 2024. Three fire engines were sent to tackle the flames at the scene.

Firefighters quickly deployed high-pressure hose reels and main jets to bring the blaze under control, which had taken hold in the kitchen area.

No Injuries, But Premises Damaged

About 20 people evacuated the building before emergency services arrived. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, though the property suffered damage from the fire.

Cause Likely Accidental, Investigation Ongoing

Preliminary investigations indicate the fire was accidental. However, further inquiries will determine the exact cause.

Kent Fire and Rescue’s rapid response stopped the blaze spreading and prevented further damage.
