Fire Brigade Rush to Heathrow After Burning Smell Sparks Alarm
Firefighters have been scrambled to Heathrow Airport following reports of a burning smell in the control tower early Wednesday morning.
Smoke Scare at the Airport Control Tower
The London Fire Brigade, alongside Heathrow’s own fire service, raced to the scene after staff alerted the Star Centre control about the suspicious smell. The call came in at 12:30am on November 3rd.
Three fire engines from London Fire Brigade and one appliance from Heathrow Fire Service are currently investigating the source of the smoke.
Flight Disruptions Still Unclear
At this stage, it’s unknown whether the burning smell has caused any flight delays or restrictions on takeoffs and landings at the busy airport.
