The crew safely dumped the chemical cocktail down a drain and ventilated the house to clear the noxious air. The injured man was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service as a precaution.

“Household cleaning products do pose a risk when used incorrectly,” a London Fire Brigade spokesperson said.

“Always follow instructions carefully and never mix products. It could produce hazardous fumes. Keep them sealed and away from children.”
