Emergency crews scrambled to Mill Road, Gillingham at the crack of dawn today after a fire broke out at a commercial building.
Five Engines and Height Vehicle Battle the Flames
Kent Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they sent five fire engines and a height vehicle to tackle the blaze, arriving on scene at around 6:07 AM. Firefighters, decked out in breathing gear, attacked the flames with powerful main jets.
Photos capture thick smoke pouring from the building as crews worked flat out. The fire was brought under control swiftly, with operations wrapped up by 7:46 AM.
No Injuries as Investigation Launched
Thankfully, there were no injuries reported. The cause of the inferno remains unknown, but authorities have pledged a thorough investigation to get to the bottom of the blaze.
