Blaze Erupts on 8th Floor of Walsall Highrise
A fierce fire broke out shortly after 1.30pm on Thursday, 29 August, at a sixteen-storey building on Lindon Drive in Brownhills, Walsall. Flames engulfed the 8th floor, sparking an urgent emergency response.
30 Firefighters Battle the Blaze
Fire crews from Aldridge, Bloxwich, Walsall, Willenhall, Bilston, Sutton Coldfield, and Perry Barr rushed to the scene. A total of 30 firefighters deployed two main jets to stop the fire spreading through the highrise.
A fire service spokesperson said, “The safety of the public and our firefighters is our top priority. We are doing everything we can to bring the fire under control and prevent further damage.“
