Boomtown Festival CANCELLED Again – Now Set for August 2022

Boomtown organisers have dropped a devastating blow: Boomtown Chapter One: The Gathering won’t happen this summer. Instead, the massive festival is pushed back to 10-14 August 2022.

In a statement, Boomtown said they’re “absolutely devastated” to make the announcement — almost exactly a year after their last cancellation.

Safety Fears and Financial Risks Kill 2021 Event

Despite months of campaigning the government, the festival bosses say there’s no COVID-specific cancellation support for events. With less than four months to go, they cannot guarantee the high safety and production standards fans expect.

They warn that going ahead this year could risk an eight-figure financial loss if restrictions return. That could seriously endanger Boomtown’s future.

Tickets Roll Over, Resale Kicks Off June 1

Good news for ticket holders: all 2021 tickets will automatically roll over to 2022. Refunds are also available for those who want them.

Boomtown thanked fans for sticking by them through the turmoil. “You really did save the festival,” the statement said.

Plus, for those still wanting tickets, the resale goes ahead as planned on 1st June. This could be your chance to grab a ticket and join the festival revival in August 2022.

Fingers crossed this is the final postponement and Boomtown can finally light up the fields next summer!
