Major Fire Rips Through End-Terrace House

Four fire engines and about 25 firefighters swooped on a house fire in St Brides Close, Erith. The inferno gutted the first floor and the staircase connecting it to the ground floor. Flames also damaged much of the ground floor, the stairs to the second floor, and parts of the upper level.

Five Escape Unharmed as Fire Brigade Battles Blaze

Five people managed to flee the property before crews arrived. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported. The London Fire Brigade was alerted at 12:01 pm and had the blaze under control by 2 pm.

Multiple Fire Stations Join the Fight

Firefighters from Barking, Bromley, East Greenwich, and Eltham joined the operation, working tirelessly to quell the flames.

Investigation Underway

The cause of the fire remains unknown as investigations begin.
