Woman Falls to Her Death on Love Lane Estate
A 49-year-old woman tragically died after falling from a block of flats on Tottenham’s Love Lane Estate in North London. The fatal incident happened on Wednesday, January 18, at around 3:55 pm.
Council Pledges Support Amid Investigation
Haringey Council confirmed the heartbreaking news and offered condolences. Council leader Cllr Peray Ahmet said, “This is a truly devastating incident, and our thoughts are with the family at this sad and difficult time. We are providing all possible assistance to the affected families, friends, neighbours, and wider community.”
She added the council will work closely with police to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fall.
Police Confirm Death Not Suspicious
A Met Police spokesman said officers and the London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene following reports of the fall. Despite efforts, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and her next of kin have been informed.
The death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious. A coroner’s report is being prepared.
