Hit and Run Horror in Chatham Sparks Full-Blown Police Probe
Kent Police have launched a serious investigation after a hit and run left a person badly injured in Chatham in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Victim Left Injured As Driver Flees Scene
Just before midnight, police were called to New Road following reports of a hit and run. A vehicle reportedly sped off after hitting a person, who suffered serious injuries.
Emergency Services Race to the Scene
Paramedics and an air ambulance were scrambled urgently to save the victim. The scene was swarmed by emergency crews through the night.
Road Closure and Forensic Investigation Ongoing
New Road remains shut to both vehicles and pedestrians while Kent’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit conducts a detailed forensic exam of the area.
Local drivers are urged to use diversion routes until the closure is lifted.
Kent Police have yet to release an official statement on the incident.
