A tiny sheep with a massive spirit is on the road to recovery, thanks to a nationwide wave of kindness from animal lovers.

From Near Death to Hope

Hope, a Wiltshire Horn ewe, was rescued just two weeks ago by the Lotus Lamb and Sheep Sanctuary in West Sussex. Founder Hayley and her team found Hope in an appalling state—severely malnourished, dehydrated, and unable to stand. Vets were stunned at her frail, skeletal frame.

“She’s one of the worst cases of neglect and abuse we’ve ever seen,” said Hayley. “She could barely lift her head. But we saw something in her eyes—she hadn’t given up. And neither would we.”

Wheelchair Appeal Sparks Massive Support

The sanctuary launched an urgent appeal to raise £672 for a specialist wheelchair from Wheels for Dogs. This would help Hope move freely and live without pain.

The response? Absolutely overwhelming.

“Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we hit our goal—and Hope’s wheels are on the way!” Hayley exclaimed. “We’re beyond grateful. Your donations have given her a second chance at life.”

A New Lease of Life at the Sanctuary

Lotus Lamb and Sheep Sanctuary is renowned for rescuing animals from horrific abuse and neglect. They provide a loving forever home with full care and rehabilitation.

Hayley added, “Hope has already made huge progress, and with her new wheels, she’ll continue to thrive. Every animal deserves love, comfort, and dignity—and now Hope will get just that.”
