Missing Wimbledon Girl Spotted Heading to Poland with Mum’s Friend

Detectives are urgently searching for 13-year-old Serena Alexander-Benson, who vanished from Wimbledon last month. She was last seen by her dad leaving home at 7.50am on Friday, 25 May, saying she was off to school — but she never arrived.

Clues Point to Poland Escape

Police investigations reveal Serena escaped the UK via the Eurotunnel at Folkestone that same morning. She was travelling in a car with a female friend of her mother’s — a Polish national living in London.

Officers Work With International Authorities

Wandsworth CID are now working closely with the National Crime Agency and Polish officials. While detectives won’t disclose the exact route taken or Serena’s current location, they confirm she is believed to be in Poland, where her mother resides.

Safety Is Top Priority

The main goal is to locate Serena and ensure she’s safe. Police say any criminal offences connected will be examined once her wellbeing is secured.
