22-Year-Old Rebecca Carr Vanishes Near Gillingham Station in 2002
Rebecca Carr, also known as Rebecca Simmonds, disappeared without a trace on 25 November 2002. The 22-year-old was last seen when her grandparents dropped her off near Gillingham railway station. Rebecca stood 5ft 8in tall, slim, with long mousy brown curly hair at the time.
Family Desperate for Answers After Two Decades
Rebecca lived with friends on Beatty Avenue and was a devoted mum to her three-year-old son, Tyler. She was close to her family, especially her mum Lynne Simmonds, sister Laura, and her grandparents. Lynne still lives in the family home on Bingham Road, Frindsbury, near Strood.
A former pupil of Chapter School in Strood, Rebecca’s disappearance has devastated her loved ones. Despite extensive police investigations and appeals by kent-police/" title="Kent Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Kent Police and her family, no solid leads have emerged.
Signs of Hope Fade But Family Keeps Fighting
Over the years, several reported sightings fizzled out without confirmation. Rebecca’s sister has raised around £2,000 for the Missing People charity, keeping her sister’s memory alive. Yet, police and family brace themselves for the worst while clinging to hope.
