After multiple calls about smoke in the area, residents reported seeing flames but couldn’t give an exact location. With the fire spreading fast, time was of the essence.
Drone Comes to the Rescue
Experts from Kent Fire and Rescue’s tech team launched the upgraded drone, providing commanders with a bird’s-eye view. The aerial footage helped crews zero in on the blaze and stop it from spreading further.
Cause Under Investigation
The cause of the fire remains unknown and is currently being looked into. Several fire crews tackled the blaze on Snargate Street once the drone revealed the hotspot.
