Leah Croucher’s Family Set for Private Funeral After Tragic Loss
Leah Croucher’s parents, John and Claire, have released a heartfelt statement ahead of her private funeral on Friday, March 3. While the service itself will be intimate, a cortege will pass through key Milton Keynes areas, allowing the public to pay their respects.
Cortege Route to Pass Through Local Neighbourhoods
The funeral procession will travel through Emerson Valley, Furzton, Shenley Brook End, Shenley Church End, and Grange Farm. This gives the community a chance to say a final goodbye to Leah as she makes her solemn journey to the crematorium.
Hello to the people of Milton Keynes who have supported us every step of the way with the search for Leah during the long three years and eight months she was classified as missing,” said John and Claire.
“We can’t thank you enough—especially in the four and a half months since Leah was found. The outpouring of support at Furzton and the messages on the nearby tree, along with a book compiled by the local church, have truly taken our breath away. It has given us great comfort as a family.”
Respect Privacy, Donations Encouraged for Missing People Charity
The Crouchers stressed that the funeral service will be private, limited to family and close friends due to space and Health & Safety rules. They urge the community to respect their wishes for privacy during the ceremony.
The cortege will leave Emerson Valley at around 10:50 a.m. on March 3, with a map showing the full route to be released for those wishing to pay their respects from a distance.
Only family members are asked to send floral tributes. Instead, the family have launched a JustGiving page to raise funds for Missing People, the charity that helped them through this heartbreaking ordeal.
