London Marathon Set to Light Up the Capital’s Streets

In just days, thousands of runners will hit the streets of London for the iconic London Marathon. Starting between Greenwich and Blackheath, the tough 26-mile race takes athletes past legendary landmarks like the Cutty Sark, Buckingham Palace, and the bustling Canary Wharf.

Challenging Route Takes on London’s Landmarks

The marathon blasts off from Greenwich Park, with runners racing past the Cutty Sark and crossing the River Thames at 13 miles. The course follows the river’s curve, tackling notorious hurdles like the ‘Wall’ at mile 20 before heading towards Tower Bridge.

As the finish nears, runners dash past the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, and the London Eye. The epic finale sees them storming through the City of Westminster and crossing The Mall to a roaring crowd.
