Lucky Escape as Gas Tanker Crashes into Car in Surbiton
This morning at 8.50am, a gas tanker smashed into a car on Ewell Road, Surbiton. Police rushed to the scene and quickly shut the road. Miraculously, no one was hurt in the nasty collision.
Road Closures Cause Chaos
Officers are still investigating the crash, but traffic is being held up as the road remains closed. This comes as another crash has just happened at the Coombe Lane junction with Traps Lane. That road is also shut while police deal with the incident.
Drivers Beware – Slippery Roads Spark Multiple Crashes
Police haven’t confirmed if the two crashes are linked yet, but warn drivers to stay alert. “It’s very cold with slippy roads,” they said. Commuters are urged to avoid both areas if possible.
