M2 Westbound Shutdown After Mercedes-Benz Overturns Near Rochester
The M2 motorway in Kent is shut westbound between Junction 3 (Blue Bell Hill) and Junction 2 (Rochester) following a crash that left a Mercedes-Benz C Class flipped on its side.

Follow Diversion Signs – Expect Delays
Drivers should follow the solid square diversion signs. Here’s the detour route to avoid the closure:
- Exit M2 westbound at Junction 3.
- Take A229 southbound towards Maidstone.
- Continue to M20 Junction 6 and join M20 westbound.
- At M20 Junction 4, exit and take the third exit at the roundabout onto A228 northbound.
- Follow A228 back to M2 Junction 2 and rejoin westbound.
