Protesters Take Over M25 Motorway Gantries, Causing Chaos
Protesters have boldly climbed onto motorway gantries at multiple points on the M25, mocking police efforts to stop them. The stunts are causing major disruption this morning (7 November).
Multiple Gantries Targeted
- Junction 6 towards junction 7
- Between junctions 8 and 9
- Between junctions 13 and 12 southbound
- Between junctions 13 and 14
Officers are currently dealing with one protester precariously perched on the gantry near junction 6.
Road Closure Sparks Long Delays
With safety in mind, National Highways has shut the northbound M25 from junctions 6 to 7. Long delays have been reported, and drivers are urged to avoid the area if possible.
Protester Removal Team Takes Action
The specialist protester removal team is on site, preparing to climb the gantries and bring down those involved. Whether the stunts will end peacefully remains to be seen.
