Serious Crash Shuts M26 Eastbound in Kent
The M26 is closed eastbound between the M25 and Junction 2A (A20, Sevenoaks) following a major four-vehicle collision. Kent Police and Highways England Traffic Officers rushed to the scene after reports came in just after 2.30pm on Sunday.

Specialist collision investigators from Kent Roads Policing have been called in, underlining the severity of the smash. A significant stretch of crash barrier has also been badly damaged.
Traffic Chaos: Avoid M26, Watch Out for M20 Issues
- Drivers travelling anti-clockwise on the M25 are urged to stay on the M25, head to Junction 3, then take the M20 coastbound to avoid the M26 closure.
- On the M20 at Junction 7, a broken-down vehicle is leaking fuel on the roundabout. Recovery teams are on site, but drivers should approach with extreme caution.
Expect delays and plan alternative routes as emergency teams work to clear both incidents.
