Drivers on the M20 heading coastbound in Kent are stuck in a nightmare traffic jam this afternoon. Two lorries have crashed, forcing officers from the Highways Agency to shut down two lanes.

The crash has brought traffic to a standstill between Junction 7 (A249) and Junction 8 near Leeds Castle. Officers are working to shift the lorries off the live lanes onto the hard shoulder. But with queues stretching for five miles, the evening rush hour is set to be a total nightmare.
