Massive Blaze Rocks Reading Town Centre

A huge fire erupted near Reading town centre today, sending thick black smoke plumes visible miles around. The inferno broke out just after 11am on Thursday, November 23, at a building site close to Station Hill — the same area hit by a fire in July 2023.

Emergency Teams Battle Fierce Flames

The exact spot of the blaze is still unclear but is believed to be near the Station Hill development. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported so far. Firefighters rushed to the scene and are working tirelessly to bring the blaze under control.

Witnesses flooded social media with videos and photos showing enormous smoke clouds blotting out the sky, stirring alarm across Reading.

Residents Warned to Stay Safe

Authorities have urged locals and businesses nearby to shut windows and doors to avoid smoke inhalation. Traffic has been diverted away from the area to let emergency crews get on with their job safely.

The repeated fires at construction sites in this part of town have sparked fresh concerns over building safety and regulations.

Reading Holds Its Breath as Firefighters Fight On

With the cause of the fire still unknown, investigations will begin once the flames are out. Meanwhile, the community is advised to avoid the affected zone and keep up with updates from official channels.

Reading residents remain hopeful for a quick end to this latest emergency, praying for no casualties or major damage.
