The London Fire Brigade has dispatched ten fire engines and about 70 firefighters from Soho, Euston, Shoreditch, Islington, and Lambeth stations. The fire ignited just after 10am near Holborn Underground station’s entrance. The cause remains a mystery.
“Crews are currently dealing with a fire affecting the electrical cables in an underground tunnel. This is likely to be a protracted incident,” said Station Commander Paul Morgan.
