“Operations like these help ensure the safety of all road users. Heavy goods vehicles that are not properly maintained or operated within the law pose a real risk on our roads.”
Authorities also praised those drivers found fully compliant, stressing the vital importance of roadworthiness and sticking to legal requirements.
Road Safety Efforts to Continue
Officials vow to keep up the pressure on commercial vehicle offenders with further enforcement campaigns across the region. Future crackdowns will focus on dangerous driving and compliance with safety standards.
Motorists are urged to regularly check their vehicles, obey drivers’ hours laws, and secure their loads before hitting the road.
