Police Hunt Man Who Grabbed Teen Girl in Yeovil
Avon and Somerset Police are on the lookout for a man who grabbed a 13-year-old girl’s arm in Yeovil. The alarming attack happened just after 8am on Wednesday, 1st October.
Teen Girl Fights Off Attacker and Escapes
The young girl was walking along a lane between Freedom Avenue and Burroughes Avenue when the suspect suddenly grabbed her left arm and yanked it. Thankfully, she fought him off and made a swift getaway. She couldn’t give a detailed description but believes the attacker was a man.
Police Urge Locals to Check CCTV and Speak Up
Yeovil neighbourhood inspector Roseanna Green pleaded with residents to come forward: “This victim is understandably upset, but we are supporting her and her family, with extra help from her school. We’re carrying out house-to-house enquiries and reviewing CCTV.”
“We ask anyone in the area to check their cameras for anything suspicious around the time of the attack.”
