Matt Hancock Rolls Out His Own Cheese Brand – ‘Matt Hancock’s Cheddar’
Just when you thought Matt Hancock couldn’t get any cheesier, he’s gone and launched a proper cheese brand bearing his name. Yes, the former MP’s latest stunt is called Matt Hancock’s Cheddar, and it’s set to hit shelves soon.
Cheese with a Side of Hancock
Described as mature, tangy, and thoroughly British, this cheddar aims to cash in on Hancock’s infamous public profile. But whether shoppers are ready to welcome him into their kitchens remains to be seen.
Branding That’s Truly Gouda
Hancock has hired London’s independent creative agency isobel to craft the brand, complete with his mug on the packaging and the cheeky slogan: “Cheese for the people.”
When asked about the strategy, an isobel spokesperson said the goal was to “normalise politicians” and make them more “relatable.” They added, “Everyone loves cheese, so why not create a cheese brand for the people?”
Launching April Fools’ Day with a Campaign to Match
The cheddar officially launches nationwide on Saturday, April 1st, backed by a full print, social media, and outdoor ad blitz – all dreamed up by isobel.
Whether it’s a joke or genius, one thing’s for sure: you’d be a fool to miss trying Matt Hancock’s Cheddar!
