Motorcyclist dies after Fatal Crash near Corhampton

Police are investigating after a motor cycle was involved in a single-vehicle, fatal road traffic incident today (July 10). At about 4.15pm two motor cycles were travelling South East from Morestead, along Corhampton Lane, when one of the motor cycles left the carriageway at the junction of B3035, known as The Hangers, and ended up on the other side of the carriageway. Sadly the 36-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no indication that the other motorcycle was involved in the collision. Next of kin has been informed. Police are not be in a position to name the motor cyclist until formal identification procedures are completed. A post mortem examination is due to take place tomorrow. Police officers from Hampshire Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw the motor cyclists prior to the incident, in the Morestead area or anyone who may have camera footage from a helmet or vehicle camera. Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting Op Extract.
