Tragic Motorcycle Crash Claims Life in Hampshire
Police are probing a fatal single-vehicle motorcycle crash that took place this afternoon (July 10) near Morestead.
Fatal Crash on Corhampton Lane
At around 4.15pm, two motorcycles were heading southeast along Corhampton Lane from Morestead. One rider, aged 36, lost control at the junction with the B3035, known locally as The Hangers. The bike veered off the road and ended up on the opposite carriageway.
Tragically, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed the second motorcycle was not involved in the collision.
Investigation Underway – Police Seek Witnesses
Next of kin have been informed, but police will not release the motorcyclist’s name until formal ID is confirmed. A post-mortem is scheduled for tomorrow.
Hampshire Police urge anyone who saw the crash, or the motorcyclists beforehand in the Morestead area, to come forward. They are especially interested in any dashcam or helmet camera footage.
