Teen Biker Dies in Shocking Crash with Van
Police were called at 6.09pm after a blue Volkswagen Caddy collided with a black Yamaha motorcycle near Bishop’s Waltham.
The motorcyclist, just 17, was rushed to Southampton General Hospital but tragically died later.
Van Driver Unhurt as Road Shut for Hours
The Volkswagen driver, a woman in her 50s, escaped unscathed.
Emergency crews closed the road for five hours while they dealt with the scene. The road has now fully reopened.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Specialist officers are supporting the motorcyclist’s family.
Police want to hear from anyone who was near the junction of Botley Road and Chapel Lane at the time.
