Toxic Flask Sparks Panic at South Yorkshire Station
On Friday 18 March at around 5.30pm, chaos broke out at a South Yorkshire train station. A woman alighted from a train and casually dropped a flask filled with a noxious liquid into a bin on the platform.
Two Men Open Flask – Horrific Smell Hits Platform
Two men then picked up the flask and opened it – unleashing a strong, choking smell. Authorities quickly identified the liquid as hydrochloric acid, triggering an immediate evacuation.
Station Shut Down for Hours
The station was shut for several hours while emergency services raced to contain the hazardous substance and keep the public safe.
