Bus Crash in Central London Sends One to Hospital
A passenger was rushed to hospital after a bus slammed into a flower bed outside St Paul’s Underground station on Cheapside this Monday afternoon.

Emergency crews scrambled to the busy City of London at around 2:30pm after reports of a road traffic collision involving a bus. The front of the bus was crumpled against a flower bed outside the Co-op store, causing shock among onlookers and forcing a temporary road closure.
Rapid Response from Ambulance Crew
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:
“We were called at 2:24pm to reports of a traffic collision on Cheapside. We dispatched an ambulance crew, response officer, cycle paramedic, and a rapid response car. Our team arrived within four minutes. Three people were treated; one was taken to hospital while two others were discharged at the scene.”
Police Confirm Investigation Underway
Chief Inspector James Minney of City of London Police said officers arrived swiftly after the crash at 2:26pm. Three people were treated at the scene, and the northbound road reopened by 3:30pm. Investigations are continuing to determine the cause.
Traffic Returns to Normal
AA traffic monitors reported the closure of Cheapside at around 3pm, but the road reopened within 30 minutes, easing the rush-hour congestion.
Witnesses Urged to Come Forward
Authorities are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage or information about the incident to help with ongoing inquiries. No details on mechanical failure or driver error have been confirmed.
