Chaos on M27 as Westbound Lane Closes After Smash Near Fareham
One lane on the busy M27 westbound is shut tonight after a crash between a car and a pick-up truck. The crash hit between Junction 10 (A32 Fareham) and Junction 9 (A27 Park Gate) at around 5pm on Friday.
Traffic Nightmare on Both Sides
Police closed the outside lane on the westbound side, causing delays crawling up to the scene. Drivers are also stuck in slow traffic and long queues on both eastbound and westbound carriageways, with delays stretching all the way back to the A3.
Accident Cleared, Lane Reopened
Thankfully, the car and pick-up have now been removed and the lane reopened. But the rush hour chaos may well continue as traffic recovers.
