Over 80 Animals Rescued from Filthy Doncaster Home in Shocking Raid
Police and RSPCA Discover Nightmare Conditions
More than 80 animals have been saved from horrendous squalor in a Tickhill, Doncaster property after a joint swoop by South Yorkshire Police and the RSPCA.
On Thursday, 17 April, Dog Legislation Officers and RSPCA inspectors forced their way inside the home, immediately hit by a vile stench. They uncovered 78 Springer Spaniels, four other dogs, two cats, and a chicken—all trapped in repulsive filth and surrounded by piles of faeces.
Disturbing Scene of Neglect
“Moving through the property, the team faced faeces and grime at every step, with dogs cramped into every corner,” a South Yorkshire Police spokesperson revealed.
Each animal was carefully removed and rushed to a safe facility where they are now receiving urgent care and assessments.
Investigation Underway
Police confirmed a full investigation is underway to track down whoever’s responsible for this shocking neglect.
“Animal cruelty will not be tolerated across South Yorkshire, and we will work with partners to ensure that those responsible are held accountable,” said a police spokesperson.
Public Called to Help
The case has intensified calls for vigilance. Anyone suspecting animal neglect or hoarding is urged to report it immediately.
If you have information that could assist the inquiry, contact South Yorkshire Police or the RSPCA without delay.
