Chaos on Pershore Road after Car Flips Over in Birmingham Crash
Mini Flips on Busy Birmingham Road
A major Birmingham artery was thrown into chaos this afternoon after a blue Mini flipped onto its roof in a dramatic crash. The smash happened around 2:10pm on Saturday near the Grant Arms pub on Pershore Road, Cotteridge.
The Mini collided with a parked car before overturning, blocking both sides of the road and causing major disruption.
Emergency Services Flood the Scene
Photos and videos from the scene show the overturned car surrounded by police, ambulance, and fire crews. Police swiftly cordoned off the area, halting traffic in both directions.
West Midlands Fire Service worked quickly to make the Mini safe and managed to set it back on its wheels later.
A man in his 50s, believed to be the Mini’s driver, was rushed to hospital. His injuries are currently being assessed, according to West Midlands Police.

Traffic Gridlock Eases Slowly
Traffic came to a standstill in both directions immediately after the crash, with Google Maps reporting severe delays. By late afternoon, congestion started to ease and normal traffic flow was gradually restored.
