Deadly Blaze at King James Street

A person has died following a devastating fire at a residential flat on King James Street, SE1. Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 5am on 4 September 2024 but were unable to save the victim.

The London Fire Brigade deployed six fire engines and an aerial ladder to tackle the blaze. Despite their full efforts, one individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The flames were eventually brought under control.
