Crash Horror on A39 Leaves Two Injured
Two people were hurt in a smash on the A39 in Bideford this Saturday, police have confirmed.
Serious Collision Near Abbotsham Cross
The crash happened around 1pm near Abbotsham Cross. A red Citroen Picasso and a red Mercedes collided on the busy road.
The Citroen driver, a woman in her 70s from Barnstaple, suffered potentially life-changing injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital.
The Mercedes driver, a man in his 50s from Bideford, was taken to North Devon District Hospital with minor injuries.
Road Closed While Police Investigate
Officers from the Roads Policing Team spent six hours probing the crash, leading to road closures that caused delays for drivers.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Anyone with dashcam footage is urged to get in touch.
