Damage and Danger on One of Britain’s Busiest Roads
Three of the incidents happened within 25 minutes on Tuesday night, with two lorries among the targeted vehicles. All drivers reported smashed windscreens, but thankfully no one was hurt.
Police Urge Parents to Keep Teens in Check
Chief Inspector Darren Deex said: “We are investigating five reports in a short time frame of objects being thrown at vehicles along one of the country’s busiest roads. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the actions put motorists at serious risk of harm.”
“It’s believed the culprits are early teenagers seen on the bridge. I urge parents and guardians to educate their children about the consequences of this dangerous behaviour.”
“If you live nearby, ask yourself: do you know what your kids are up to? Could they or their friends be involved?”
