Speed Demon Caught on Camera Doing Over 200mph on UK Motorway
Police launch probe after shocking anonymous video shows driver smashing speed limits at more than 200mph. The footage, taken from inside the speeding car, shows a daredevil motorist flooring the accelerator and weaving through traffic on a motorway.
Minute-Long Clip Sparks Outrage
The video starts with the car cruising at 65mph before the speedometer rockets to a staggering 201mph. The driver recklessly switches lanes, leaving other vehicles eating their dust.
Details on when and where this nerve-jangling stunt took place remain sketchy. However, officers now believe the incident happened somewhere in Sussex.
Police Vow Tough Action
Metropolitan Police Detective Superintendent Andy Cox said on Twitter: “Aware of this horrific driving. I have tasked some investigative work to see if we can identify the car involved and relevant location. Needless to say if we do we will seek the most robust action possible.”
He later added: “Investigative research confirms this horrific driving took place within @sussex_police area.”
The force is urging anyone with information about the stunt to come forward. With such reckless speeds, this was a disaster waiting to happen.
